Baby Sign Language is a method of pre-verbal communication that takes advantage of a baby's natural gesturing. Before a baby is able to verbalise it can be a very frustrating time in which they struggle to make themselves understood. With the aid of baby sign language, which is based on the principles of British Sign Language (BSL), a baby can use gestures to help make themselves understood. With an increase in popularity of baby signing, toy manufacturers are starting to incorporate this into their learning toys. Toys that include baby signing as an option are:
